With an emphasis on Strength and Conditioning, students will also engage in Pilates, Yoga, Meditation, and PBT to enhance their physical conditioning and improve flexibility, strength, and body awareness.

This program goes beyond the studio with seminars by physicians and dance specialists covering topics like nutrition, injury prevention, and mental wellness, as well as visual art lessons tied to the history and cultural significance of dance. These enriching experiences will deepen your understanding of the art form and prepare you for a long-lasting and successful dance career.

Our faculty includes Steps PDX’s professional year-round instructors alongside guest teachers from across the country, offering a diverse range of expertise to help you excel.

Under the mentorship of Artistic Director Kathryn Harden and her team, you will be encouraged to expand your physical and technical abilities, while honing your artistry in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
