STUDIO SAFETY PROCEDURES

We understand the need to take significant measures to protect the health and safety of our dancers, families, artistic staff, and community. We are taking preventative measures to ensure everyone’s safety and continue to monitor information from the CDC, Oregon Health Authority, and the Multnomah County Health Department, while implementing best practices accordingly. If there is an untick of cases, we will re-evaluate making masks mandatory. If you test positive for Covid, we ask that you isolate for at least 7 days before returning to classes and wear a mask for at least 7 days after returning to classes.

Steps Pdx reserves the right to cancel classes if there are changes to the pandemic or the state-mandated regulations.

 

 

Every dancer and instructor
will be required to fill out the
COVID Wellness Screening Test before safely entering the studio.

 

All surfaces are sanitized
throughout the day in
between classes and at the
end of the day.

 

Teachers and students please use hand sanitizer before and after class, before and after barre work, and before and after floor work.

Every dancer and instructor will
have their temperature taken
before entering the studio.

 

Vacuuming and Sanitizing
the floors with disinfectant
solution at the end of everyday.

 

A reminder to please quickly pick up and drop off students at the studio. We want to minimize the amount of people in the hallway and building so please do not linger.

All artistic staff, dancers and family members in the building, are encouraged
to wear masks, but not required.

 

Ventilating the studio with
ample airflow. All windows
and doors in the studio will
be open throughout classes.

 

Water bottles must be left in the hallway. Please socially distance.

Keeping a minimum of at least
9 feet apart (floors are marked
for where to stand).

 

We have a larger Air purifier in the back of the classroom, covering more square footage. The Bissell Smart Purifier with HEPA and Carbon Filters, captures 99.97% of 0.3 micron particles and smaller, as well as cleans air from allergies, pet dander, dust, dander, pollen, smoke, odors

 

Floors will continue to be sanitized everyday by vacuuming, steaming (killing 99.9% of household germs, as well as dust mites and surface mold), followed by a sanitation floor cleaner specifically for marley dance floors.
